OK my stepdad bought a dongle ages ago and i finally got a mobile with bluetooth and want to put my mp3's on my phone. The only problem is we can't find the installation disk. I have read through posts here and i just don't understand so please don't redirect me to another post. The only information i can provide are on the dongle it says model:BTU01A. We have the installation manual as well and on the front it reads Bluetooth USB Dongle and at the bottom it says BTW Version 1.3.2.7. I don't know what any of this means.

Basically i want to know if i can download something off the net to make my bluetooth work.

Please write your answers in the simplest terms please!!

Lucy

Welcome to Geekzone. Most Bluetooth dongles will work with Windows XP SP2 without the need of the original disk. You won't have all the sophisticated "services" available, but for file transfer, mobile connection, and a few other things this will do just right.

You should have to simply plug the adapter and wait for Windows to update its configuration.
