Welcome to Geekzone... Is your router configured to use 802.11g only (I hitnk the UX50 can only work with 802.11b)?

Is it configured to allow only certain MAC addresses to connect (MAC filtering)?

Is is broadcasting its SSID or do you have to manuallt enter the SSID on your UX50 (if not broadcasting)?

I read a bit further in my router guide and the router needed to be visible, I did that on the router settings in IE and then my PDA recognised it. The security on the router was set to WPA and not WEP. The PDA uses WEP.

Once i changed that, I was up and running.

A 10 minunte job, took me 8 hours. Never mind.

Thank you for your assistance.

Regards

Sarah

Hello Again.

Can i ask one further queston please?

If i go with my pda to a wiresless hotspot.

How would i set that up, will that effect my setup when i get back home?

Thanks

When you find a hotspot you will connect to it, but your PDA will "remember" other access points you have connected before. When you are back home it will find your access point in the list and connect again.
