Hi there,

I have a Tungsten T3, connecting through bluetooth to my Win XP Pro machine. That machine has a PPPoE DSL connection that has been shared to the Bluetooth LAN adapter (Widcom 1.3.x). The T3 connects just fine to the Network, I can even ping local IP addresses and I get propper DNS resolution. However, I can not access the internet (e. g. browse with the browser). I get timeouts. I can also not ping anything on the internet.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Sascha

Could it be that your DSL modem/router is giving addresses in the 192.168.0.x range and conflicting with your ICS setup? Or perhaps a personal firewall (ZA, NIS or even the Windows XP) blocking this communication?

No, my DSL modem is not the problem. As I said, I actually do have a good network connection (being assigned an IP address on the same network as the bluetooth LAN adapter) and I can ping the local network (win xp machine). It acts as if the Tungsten would not get routed to the internet. As if it would not have a default gateway, as if it wouldn't know how to get out.
