I have recently acquired a new Thomson TG585 modem from telecom.
I have set up a name and password for our wireless network. When I try to connect from my computer to the wireless network i get the response 'invalid password' the password is correct. The only way I have managed to get my computer to connect is by restarting the modem.
Any idea what the issue could be?

wireless network name: packers
password: is a 9 digit 021 mobile number
computer is running OSX 10.6.4

Can you try different types of security
Does it work
 - unsecured?
 - WEP 64 bit?
 - WPA?
 - WPA2?
 - WPA/WPA2?

You will need different length passwords for the different security types.
Some routers have a dual mode or forced wpa or forced wpa2. Check all three modes.
Some computers with vista also have problems with WPA/WPA2 and there are sometimes the odd incompatibility with some models of client card.

Try it with another laptop or computer and if that doesnt work you may have to send the router back.
