I just purchase a 3com blue tooth usb adaptor for my home network, and the Toshiba bluetooth sd card.

My home network has cable modem with internet sharing, and everything is running on 192.168.1.x.

I can pair up my laptop or other pc with the 3com bt adaptor and the e570, but can't seem to do anything else.

Ideally I would like to surf the internet but reading the guides here, it seems that the 3com usb adaptor doesn't allow this??

I tried just connecting to my laptop first off using a dial up connection, and sharing this, so that I wouldn't have to reconfigure my home network to use the 192.168.0.x space, but the wizard doesn't seem to recognise the BT connection to allow me to share it.

Anyone got some pointers here ...

I would return the 3COM adapter and get a TDK, Bluetake, Belkin or DLINK instead.

Now, said that you can do it via ActiveSync. Just mind that it will be terrible slow when compared with the LAN Access solution via ICS. ActiveSync will use part of the bandwidth to keep the devices in sync, wasting your time.

You only have make sure you can access the internet from your device when in the cradle and ActiveSync is enabled. If it works, then try following the ActiveSync guides we have and you shold be able to browse the internet from there too.

Don, the problem on his setup is the 3COM adapter. 3COM software does not support networking. Our Bluetooth Guides cover pretty much the Internet Sharing issue, but with the 3COM adapter it will not work...

I see. So in this case the description would be OK if he buys a Toshiba Bluetooth USB adapter.
