I am after some advice, I have a small home office network;

ADSL 2+ area

Wired:
 1x desktop
 1x server
 1x printer
 1x voip phone

Wifi:
 2x laptop
 2x iphone
 1x ipad
 1x apple airport express for music sharing

I currently have a Linksys WAG160N, was great until recently, the Wifi kept dropping the connected devices, and have to disable/enable the network connection to reconnect.

Now LAN traffic seams to be on the go-slow, mySQL connections, SVN, AFP/SMB/VNC all slow, wired or wireless.

I stopped using the 4 10/100 ports on the wag160n and am using a 5port 10/100/1000 switch, which has helped to a degree, but not overall.

I have now disabled the wireless on the linksys after trying different channels and configurations, only to find others with the exact same issue.

I am after a setup, that will;

1) maintain a reliable DSL connection
2) configurable firewall / port redirection for various services
3) allow a fair degree of both inbound/outbound and internal traffic

Can anyone suggest a single unit or multiple unit solution ?
