Hi, don't know if anyone can help with this one:

I have a 3970 with PPC 2002 and a laptop with a new TDK bluetooth PC card.

I want to set up ActiveSync and found your excellent step-by-step guide. Unfortunately, i can only get so far.

I have set up a bond between the two, have selected ActiveSync Partner but instead of saying at the bottom of the screen "Services retrieved are in Actions menu" all I get is "Retrieving services for this device..." and it stops there. If I then OK the screen to get out of this and back to the main Bluetooth Manager screen, click on Actions I just get "Fatal Application Error" saying Bluetooth Manager has performed an illegal operation.

Similarly, if I try to send a task or PIM item via Bluetooth from the 3970 to the laptop it finds the laptop fine, I click "Send" and then just get an endless rotating timer. When I quit this operation I get another "Fatal Application Error" message.

However, everything seems to work perfectly the other way round. I can send files and PIM items from the laptop to the 3970 with no problem at all.

I've just ordered the PPC 2003 upgrade in hope that it might provide a solution!!

Thanks for any suggestions.

Mark
