My sister has one of those Cyber brand $60 wireless routers from the warehouse and it works alright, but the firmware is a bit lacking. Could DD-WRT work on this thing? I want to try it but i don't want to brick it, as my sister would kill me.

Any insight? Experience?

Seems that model only exists in NZ at the warehouse.

You would need to open it and see if there are any real manufacturer markings on it, if there are, see what they support, if not, see what the big chips are labled and that will tell you if its broadcom or whoever, which will let you see if there is even any support for its wireless.

You would need to see if there is a console port available and get a cable sorted so you can see what dmesg output there is on startup.

As it appears to be a remarkably unspectacular router with no features, its probably low on ram to be able to run any of the cool stuff, but counting the chips will let you see what ram and flash is available.
