Looks like my Dynalink RTA1024W is on it's way out as the wifi has pretty much gone on it and so I'm looking for a replacement.

Kinda keen on a Tomato/DD-WRT solution but this will also mean I would need another modem? As they generally don't do PPPoA?

Anyway any help on the matter would be awesome before my family destroy me due to not being able to use their laptops wire free.

The TPLink 8840 for around $70 does PPPoA halfbridge, infact is near identical to the RTA but much more reliable, then get a suitable wireless router that takes DD-WRT etc.
