A bit of a generic question as this issue is getting beyond me, so please be gentle....

I recently changed to one of the Telecom Thomspon TG585v8 modems.  Works a dream and significant speed increase over the old Dynalink, however...

I have the following all connected wirelessly

2 x TiVo's
1 x old HP laptop running XP
1 x newer Azus laptop running Vista
1 x iPod touch (occasionally)

This issue is with the Vista laptop - I am frequently having to re-start the modem for it to connect to in internet after being powered down.  More often than not it picks up the wireless network but only has "limited connectivity".  If I restart the modem it connects and works faultlessly, at least until next time I turn the laptop off.  I am just sick and tired of having to restart the modem on a daily basis.

Everything else works fine, including the older XP laptop has no such issues.

I have spent a long time on the phone with Telecom BB helpdesk to no avail.  Tried changing channels and checking the security protocols were compatable (their suggestion), as well as restarting the network adapter and deleting and reloading the connection.

Telecom will not accept it is a modem fault as no other device in the house has any issues.

I can't see it as a computer fault as it works faultlessley on the older Dynalink modem (just the TiVo's wont, hense the need for an update).

Any help appreciated.  BB/wireless connectivity is not something I know much about.
