I am currently using a DSL-G604T router and while I can access most websites normally, I cannot access Hotmail or Studylink (probably more related websites). The page starts to load, but never progresses to actually loading up and eventually times out. I have tried to order a few books off Amazon today only to find I have the same problem once I try to progress to the checkout page (frustrating!!).

I am guessing this probably has something to do with the router above that my flatmate has as the same problem occurs on all 3 laptops in the house.

Any help would be absolutely fantastic - I need to access my ever expanding email inbox!

Turned the router off and on again? :D But srsly, I used to have that model router and was glad to upgrade.

Also is it just HTTPS that doesn't load and HTTP is ok?

I have already done the turn off/on and cleared my cookies etc.

It doesn't appear to have a preference for http or https, i.e. for hotmail, I can't even get to the point of signing in

Firstly, check your DNS settings - This can trip it off from working.. Sometimes using the Router assigned one (192.168.0.1/192.168.1.1) fails.. best to use an open one like OpenDNS http://www.opendns.com/

If that fails - try restoring the router to factory defaults and see if that fixes it.

you aren't trying to 'torrent at the time? they are pretty bad at holding a bunch of connections open at once. Scanned for malware on the pcs in the house?
