I'm after a couple networkable (PoE) security cameras, with PTZ (Pan/Tilt/Zoom).

The biggest issue I'm finding is they are to monitor staff, so they need to have privacy domes on them - most PTZ cameras are missing it.

The best one I've found so far is the CISCO CIVS-IPC-2421, though it's alittle pricey.  Anyone got  suggestions?

Wheres/Whats the coverage area?

Instead of a pan/tilt zoom camera, have you thought about a 360 degree camera?

This puppy records a full 360 degree 3MP image/stream, which you can store either on an intergrated SDcard or external storage such as a NAS box.

From there, you can virtually pan around the whole image.

If your in Wellington I have a demo model which I am thinking about getting rid of.

Very cool! Just looking to monitor a room about 20m by 20m.

What's the RRP on those cameras?

Was going to recommend you have a look at Foscams.. but they don't come with domes!
Relatively cheap: http://www.foscam.com/

Bought the latest model they have for about $120.
They don't have domes, but look around on the internet as I've seen some built for these cameras :)

20m x 20m is a little bit too far for one camera. You could still make out people but it would be a struggle.

The RRP here in NZ is between 2-3k. Although online via an American web store, around US$1000.

One camera will be above the till (for obvious reasons) and I want it PTZ so I can see what else is going on in the room.  Don't need the ability to clearly make out faces.
