Hi, I've been reading as much as I can on this topic and have tried all-sorts of settings and the such but I always arrive at the same error. I have Googled my problem and searched these fourms but am stumped.

I am wanting to use a Nokia 6255 (telecom) as a bluetooth modem for my Compaq 2418AU. As the laptop doesnot have BT I am using a Belkin F8T009 USB adaptor.

I have setup the phone as a modem but no matter what settings I use, I always recieve "Error 692: There was a hardware failure in the modem..."

I called Telecom and they think my phone is broken... maybe it is I'm not sure.

Am I missing something simple or should I try letting Telecom fix my new phone.
