I am trying to connect the MX5000 keyboard & mouse to two computers using a Belkin 2-Port KVM switch (USB) [part #: F1DK102U].  I successfully set up the KB & mouse individually on each PC (on a stand-alone basis), but when I connect them to the KVM and toggle between the 2 PCs I get an error message on the second PC saying that "pairing of the keyboard device was not successful - authentication failed".  The mouse works fine but the keyboard won't work on the second PC.

I would appreciate anyone's advice on how to solve this problem.  Many thanks in advance.

It won't work. The pairing does not use the same key - it generates a unique key based on the PIN you enter, plus other random data. Pairing a mouse with two PCs will only make it work with the last one.
