ey,
Just got the HG556a modem (Vodafone Complete Broadband) and am trying to setup DLNA in the house...
As there is simply an on/off function for the DLNA on the modem, am I right in presuming it doesn't actually operate as a DLNA server, moreso simply allows DLNA to pass between devices?
I have an External HDD, Sony TV and MacBook Pro connected to the modem.... so to play media over DLNA from the MacBook, I need a DLNA server on the Mac, is that correct? Something like Twonky Media Server?
My hopes were the modem would be a DLNA server and would server any media on external HDDs for example... if not, I don't see the point of the DLNA function on the modem...? have I got the wrong end of the stick?!
Thanks in advance
