not sure this is the right forum section but ...

so i've tried privateinternetaccess.com and strongVPN so far .

strong VPn are a bit more expensive for the basic 4 city plan, and no euro server included in that  - BUT ...very awesome speeds, HD streaming video is not an issue.

PIA is very cheap.... and allows you to change between there 6 or so servers at will .. incl the UK one, but yeh, has had it's rough nights re speeds to the US westcoast ...

any other recommendations?

i am after FAST US westcoast speeds, cheap, and unlimited data ....

WiTopia is quite good. It's my provider. They use OpenVPN and the application Viscosity for it. Netflix and Hulu work very well with it. They have HEAPS of servers and are very fast.

Netflix can also stream HD well with WiTopia

Moreover, you will not good speed on relatively cheaper VPN .. Perhaps you can then try Witopia it $40 for a year. You can try ibVPN as well. On the website i gave you above there are full details on all the VPN Services. I have to switch VPN services a lot due to nature of my work, so that website helps me a lot. you may wanna try that :P

Marksmith: @billgates. Perfect. good for you !! I had some streaming issues using their USA Servers. Perhaps i suppose you would agree there customer support standards are very low. They are very rude or may be i was unlucky !!

Cannot comment on their customer service. Have not had any issues or queries yet regarding their service.
Witopia's customer service is very good. Had to contact them few times before I went with Astrill for the next renewal and they replied promptly and I must say that they are switched on folks.

WiTopia don't have a free trial (probably to stop abusers) but they do offer a 30 day money back guarantee which is a good compromise.

i have received pretty good speeds with private internet access and also with relakks.  you might want to try switching gateways if your speeds aren't optimal.  any provider who does not log will have abusive users here and there but i know that these guys take care of that pretty well.

my main issue with private internet access at the mo is inconsistent login success via my DD-wrt flashed router.

works perfect every time with my brothers strongVPN account info ..... PIA seems hit and miss.

must admit it works ok via my galaxy s2 tho ... hmmm

ok gutted ... witopia don't support dd-wrt routers for the cheap pptp based service. only their own openvpn setup they sell as a hardware product.

awesome customer support though ... really awesome.

ah well ..looks like it's gonna be the US$55 strongVPn pptp year package for me then

If you google Astrill coupons there are several links which will give you 10% off any of their packages. Nearly signed up the other night because of this...
