More info required. What kind of network is it? Domain? Workgroup? A few shared folders on a PC? What version Windows OS?

What version OS X is it?

sorry mate, umm windows 7 home premium and Mac OSX 10.6.8
its just our home network for the uni halls of residence. all the windows people have TB's of data and mac users are left out and cant access it, and are complaining to me -.-
