all of my wireless equipment works, and my 2 computers that are hardwired to the router still work...

when i run an ipconfig it tells me that the gateway is still at 192.168.1.1

but when i try to ping it or when i try to access it through ie it cannot find the site... what gives?

Have you changed security or password to access the router? Have you tried with another browser? Perhaps someone changed the configuration without you knowing it?

1) Are you using DHCP passthrough? If so, check the Access point isn't providing DHCP. Also, if you're getting private addresses assigned by Windows, check the WPA update isn't installed.
2) Have you checked the access point isn't also using 192.168.1.1?
