I currently have a p4 box with pfsense on it and it seems to be a complete waste of power as i am not using many features of it. I see dd-wrt/tomato is basicly all I require.
I have a dyatek 120 in full bridge mode and structured wiring setup through a 16port gig switch. And a POS belkin wirelessG as a access point.
I been looking around and have found TP-link TL-WR941ND looks good and is cheap will this work well? or is there a better options?

Tomato only supports broadcom chipsets so that is not an option on that model as it uses Atheros.

DD-WRT does have support for it though but not the v1.0 hardware see

I bought the Asus RT-N16 couple of years ago because of the gig ports, wireless N, USB port and Tomato/DD-WRT option.
