So it looks like my ever reliable WRT54G has finally rolled over and its time for a replacement. For the last few years its only been acting as a wireless access point with a pfSense box and Netgear GS724TS doing all the heavy lifting.

At this stage the only requirement is decent support for 802.11g & n.

Ragnor seems to like the Ubiquiti products, and there seems to be some products in my price range, is there a particular model worth considering?

How would these compare with another DD-WRT device at a similar price point?

It would be nice if the device had an easy to use interface.

thnks

I'd throw my vote in for Ubiquiti stuff too. Particularly the PowerAP N, or the AirRouter if that's more in your price range.

The EnGenius ECB3500 is pretty epic too.

Im always looking for different WAP's.
Recently swapped to a newer linksys wirless n with gigabit ports etc after using an old linksys with n and gigabit ports. To be honest havent really found much difference apart fro better range.
are gigabit ports really required? How often is your wireless going to be actually running over 100mb?

I like the ubiquiti gear, but i dont feel the airrouter has the coverage and range of a good old tp-link (or dare I say it - Dlink)

Ubiquiti have their purpose but i have stopped installing them in favour of going back to the tp-links.
