All been going well for 3 years. Had to reset it about twice in all that time. Over last week+, its resetting around 5 to 10 times a day. Dont know if its the modem or all the new devices I connected to it since xmas - new desktop, 3 ipods, old desktop now on wireless etc..
Everything works fine then for no reason - internet stops working. LAN lights, instead of flickering all adopt a synchronised 2 flashes(ish) every second pattern. Cant login to router either during this episode. After around 2 mins, PWR light goes red, DSL and PPP go off, PWR light goes green and everything lights up again. Can now also login to router if required. Internet restored. I can speed this up by powering down then on again.
Have tried different LAN ports on it but same issue. Also started running a log and see some of the following errors that may or may not mean something. I've only managed to figure out it can record errors so nothing recorded around hang time - the stuff below is whilst its working.
Few Intrusion errors
Good few of these - kernel: MASQUERADE: No route: Rusty's brain broke!
Some of these - kernel: nat_h323: dir ORIG at hook PREROUTING
and the odd one of - user crit kernel: OAM loopback response not received on VPI/VCI 0/4
Any help or advice appreciated. been chatting in another forum and will also try cooling it. At first glance, and best guess, is it the router getting stuffed or something Ive managed to change in setup?
Thanks
