I want to buy this phone to use with Skype. It says it works with any free wireless network. It does not work with browser based authentication> What does that mean?

I have a wireless network in my home that is secure; will it work there or any other place a network is free?

I do not know what they mean that it will not work with browser based authentication browsers.

it means that if a wireless network requires you to login via a webpage (ie a telecom hotspot) then it wont be able to work, as the phone does not have a browser built into the phone. however you wireless router at home will only require you to login in via the wep/wpa pass code.

Slightly OT but Linksys are releasing new SIP and Skype WiFi phones over the coming months (WIP310 is SIP and WIP320 is Skype). Both of these are supposed to feature support for HTTP authentication which will be great!
