I have a wireless Netgear modem in our lounge which is working great.  We have a studio out the back which I want to get internet on our studio computer.  I can't use a wireless card as it interferes with my audio interface.  I have one of the free Telecom Thomson TG585 wireless modems and I thought I could have that out in the studio and plug the studio computer into that, then get the Thomson modem to connect to the Netgear modem wirelessly.  Clear as mud?

I can't seem to actually get into the modem to see what settings I can change, the Telecom modem had no install disc.  I found on Telecoms website that I should be able to get it on 192.168.1.254, but it won't load up.  I ran ipconfig, and it said that it was connected on 192.168.0.1.  Even after I disconnect the other modem.

Is this all too hard?  Should I just run some cat6 out to the studio?

Your help would be appreciated.

What you want is typically called "Wireless Client Bridge" but I don't think the TG585 can do it.

If you can run a cable that will be the best solution, otherwise maybe a USB wireless adapter may not conflict with your audio card/chipset.
