"Compatible with Android and iPhone. This product is not compatible with any Windows devices (tablets,PC or smart phone)."

I was literally about to throw money at them until I saw that.

I get that bearded hipster douchebags don't like developing for Windows Phone, but outright denying PC users is just retarded.

There is no technical reason why it can;t be controlled from Windows, it is most likely not worth it writing software for a dying market.  Later this year (I belive) we will find out where Microsoft is heading with Windows.

I just had a cool use for these, but at $70 per socket they'd have to be amazing.
I guess they can't interact with the engage hub kit at all?  I'll be interested in your review when its posted.

No API or anything for them that I could find. Very slow to update in the app and not too sure for accuracy.

Was going to get a few of them but an instead persisting with modifying $20 plug in meters with an arduino pro mini and a nrf module.

Not seeing it as slow to update. Actually almost instantly when using.

Also you may feel comfortable doing an Arduino meter, but Joe Consumer are more likely to get a solution ready to use...

Updates come thru about every 10 seconds on my one. Also just shows the wattage. No current or votage comes to the app, It may have them accessible but no API means that I have no idea if it does or not.

Wow.

So everyone should stop writing windows software and all PCs will be gone soon?

If they had an API so I could use them with openHAB I would grab some.  The wemo refused to work on my network and required a cellphone to setup which constantly failed for me (due to poor reception i think).

I just bought a set of this yesterday:
http://store.smartnow.com.au/index.php?id_product=139&controller=product&id_lang=1

That will feed into my CurrentCost Envir which is read by raspberry pi and saved to a MySQL database and also posted here every minute:

That is not what I said, the manufacturer is just focussing on their primary market while many consumers switch over to mobile devices.
