I have been running a BME280/D1-mini for temperature, pressure and humidity in Home Assistant and its been working well.

Last week when I was away HA reported that the 3 sensors were unavailable.

Now that I am back home I checked ESPHome but it says the unit is online.

I have rebooted everything after re-installing the ESP software but no joy.

What else can I try to get it working again?

Have you updated ESPhome to the latest version and recompiled the firmware and uploaded it to the ESP? I assume your using the HA api rather than mqtt or something else to communicate?

Might be worth checking to see if it's added re-added it's self and the sensors are now something like sensor.old_sensor_id_2.

You've connected to it with the ESPhome log tool and watched to see what it's doing and if it's giving any error messages when trying to send data, and checked the HA log to see if your getting any errors about ESPhome?

ESPHome is up to date and I have recompiled and uploaded to the esp. There is only one instance of each sensor. The ESPHome log is an arcane mystery to me but its all green so I hope that means all is good.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Might help to post the log here, after leaving it to run for long enough that it should have sent a couple of reports to Home Assistant. Also have a look in the home assistant log to see what's happening from it's end.

You may have to re-add the device in the Integration tab. Find the IP address of the device then go to Configuration - Integrations and add new integration then choose Esphome and enter the IP address.

Thanks for the help everyone, I removed the device and re-added it and it came back up, very happy chappy.
