Thanks Neil for letting us pickup so promptly. I’m really impressed with this wee vacuum. We have 2 labs and a 3 yo and the vacuum has done an amazing job. The mapping feature is awesome. There are a couple of things that could be better, the dust bin could be bigger (it needed to be emptied 3 times. We vacuumed 3days ago with our Dyson so we have set the Xiaomi to clean daily which will hopefully fix that) and it gets caught up on cables.

Glad it works in your environment. For me the huge transition from vinyl to carpet just made it unworkable.  I wish it had been able to deal with it. I'm sure someone will solve the problem eventually. I even considered printing some chunkier wheels for it but I honestly have way to much on my plate at the moment to hack a vacuum :-)

Cheers - N

I still have questions....

@russelo does your tape work?

Has anyone tried tape from anywhere that keeps the mirobot out of no-go areas?

Has anyone managed to install the app on a device that is not a phone?

Anyways, after initial setup I put it back in the box for xmas.

Just had it doing its first proper clean today. It did 53m2 of wooden floors in 55 minutes and did quite a good job.

It is making an occasional grawnchy sound, is this normal?

Quite common on hard floors. Ours does it on lino every now and then but it’s not a big deal. Google it, others have looked at this in exhaustive detail and I recall they came up with some hardware mod to lessen the noise.

Yay! After a month, it's finally at the local depot ready to be sorted as of last night!

Back on sale at Dick Smith.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

A question for the owners - how tall is the docking station? Haven't managed to find that in my review-reading, and want to check where I can hide it away (hopefully under a sofa).

I’m not at home to measure it, but as I recall the dock sits about 2cm taller than the vacuum. We have it under our couch, and even though the couch fabric underneath sags a little lower than the top of the base, it still finds it and charges fine.

It wouldn't fit under our couches.

230mm x 135mm tall x 110mm deep.

Just having a play with mine now and love how you can choose to have it to be on quiet mode as well as on Max mode!  It also picks up stuff pretty good, even on quiet mode!

On the app :)

That is where you can set times and schedules and get alerts.

Many thanks. Looks like it will be tight but might work for us...will have to wait until it arrives.
