Why am I the only thicko that can't get past the "Sign In"? (Hope I haven't answered my own question!!). I chose Mainland China but can't get at anything till the sign in gets through. Get the error that it can't find the network. On Android Mi Home app.

Very frustrating.

The machine has had a little wander around the room and then docked itself.

MiRobot has just boldly gone where no vacuum has gone before.... under the bed.

It came out screaming to be emptied, but it does look a lot better under there now.

Is there a way of getting the voice notifications on the app as well as the vacuum?

I can tell its saying something but usually I'm too far away to hear it properly.

Would be great if the app "spoke" as well.

Thanks, I hit the Buy Now at $389 plus $10 freight, my total came to $362.98 ! Pretty happy with that.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Would some kind soul tell me how to get "Henry" to speak English? Just can't see how to do it. App is set to Mainland China and I have selected "English" but Henry still speaks Chinese.

But, gee, this guy is cleverer than a lot of people I know! I have had $400 worth of fun just watching him at work. Amazing how much stuff he finds. Doesn't go well on tasselled rugs, though, but easy enough lifting them.

We're fast getting to love this guy.

No point calling it Henry, the only English voice is female, so maybe Henrietta.

The English voice is installed as a "voice pack".

Problem is, I don't have 'Voice Pack' under settings. I can only see Language.

@linw , in the screen where it shows the map of where its going and stuff, up in the top right is a circle with 3 dots in it.

That brings up a menu where you can install the voice pack.

Thanks kiwifidget for your patience. FINALLY found the 'Mi Robot Vacuum' screen. Have now got voice pack set to Female for Henrietta!! See, I was trying not to be sexist.

Have to get her to say something, now!

I definitely think you should get a badge, kf. Hope the boss or a mod sees this heartfelt recommendation!!

Now I have got the concept of adding the vac to the base Mi Home app, it makes a lot more sense and adds many more features that I couldn't find befo.re.

Looking forward to getting Henrietta to say "I'm over here" tomorrow morning when my wife is sitting down to breakfast. Yes, I know, it doesn't take much to amuse some people

Bit intrigued how the total was less than the two components. Is this NZ dollars?

Right. I can't prove it but I think Cindy (that's what we named our vacuum, short for Cinderella) is messing up with my network I find I am having to reboot my router every few days as the WiFi is just busted (none of my other devices are connected until reboot)
Pretty sure that started when I got Cindy.

Anyone having similar experience?
