Same. I have lost count of the number in our house. I have to use the bulk updater...

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Looks awesome, especially with ethernet, but I wouldn't hold my breath on it getting certified here.

About time... something with Ethernet is definitely needed. If it can be certified, it looks like a good solution. I would be concerned about longevity on the market and the ability to replace units that fail.

It looks like the switches are mains only and I can't find any documentation on the relays. Can they remain powered continuously? That's a lot crammed into a small space.

That's what I'd be concerned about with regulation, seems that we're pretty allergic to data and mains living close together. But imagine a POE one of these powering low voltage lights, take my money!

I was about to get a few of these units installed to control some exterior and interior lights as a start, but darn Covid got in the way.

How's everyone's experience with them so far?

We totally ran of budget/didn't research enough to enable our new build to allow for automation! Hoping these Shelley's are a fairly inexpensive route to enabling that..

So far..

- yale smart lock

- smart garage

- hikvision cctv

- eufy/ring door bell

All these things just don't talk to each other.. :S

Shelly's are working great for me. I have Shelly 1's, 2.5's, dimmer 2's and RGBW2's

It looks like you need Home Assistant. It will connect everything together and you will be able to control it all in one app.

If you’re into HomeKit then homebridge on a raspberry pi was trivial to setup and has worked great for me with a test Dimmer2

About to roll out another 20 dimmer2s to add smarts to most of the house lights.

What are your RGBW2s set up like? I purchased a bunch of them but haven't wired them up. I still have my LIFX strips set up - which are actually pretty good.

I need to do a big 20m strip around a louvre roof - but that's a hard project to start on. Needs to be very bright and probably has to be RGB.

Awesome, i'll look into Home Assistant. Would anyone happen to know if a Shelley unit could control a wired control unit for out ducted heat pump? https://www.plumbersstock.com/gree-mc20700360.html

Thanks team!

Just get a Broadlink IR unit. A shelly will only do on/off and all the button presses related to that, so won't integrate into something like that.
