Yes we have just switched over to the updated version LimitlessLED Wifi Bridge 3.0 which is backwards compatible with existing White LEDs and existing RGB LEDs.

I will post up new details on our website.

If you are a programmer, or intending to use the API interface to the LimitlessLED Wifi Bridge 3.0 send me an email, and I will send you updated details.

We are also releasing new better apps for the new LimitlessLED Wifi Bridge 3.0

Hamish - so you are saying the new bridge IS accessible via an API so we can hook up to home automation software etc?

I actually just came across this thread by accident and speed read the whole thing for the last 9 months....

Trial by social media is pretty scary - it can make or break a product. Now that I have tried the bulbs, I take off my hat to people like Hamish who not only have to innovate and bring a product to the market but manage the interactions on sites like this which must be pretty soul destroying judging by some of the stuff that got thrown at him.

Hi Greg,
Yes, we are now phasing out the RGB bulbs, and replacing them with new Brighter RGB+W bulbs. As well as the new RGB+W 4 group channel remotes.

They are only compatible with the new LimitlessLED Wifi Bridge 3.0 and the bridge is backwards compatible with the RGB and White bulbs also.

The new wifi bridge is also 4 individual controllable groups of RGB+W capable!

I want to order a complete pack for home - I am actually tempted to go with the older starter pack - as it is still a good deal at sale price. What am I missing by not waiting for the new stock and ordering your current package [apart from the fact that the new RGB+W bulbs might be brighter (does that mean they use up more power?), the remote have extra group channel and comes with a newer version of Bridge 3.0?

In the meantime...

qyiet: If anyone is waiting for it (I was) the guys at ninjablocks have updated their driver for the LimitlessLED/WifiLED lamps to include the white bulbs. (and written a pretty big howto).

The install is still a bit of messing about with the Linux shell. I've done the install, but as these things happen, I'm not there to test if they are working or not.

You can check the code out here if you are interested

It's a free platform that gives a common api to access many devices, these bulbs being one of them.
Apart from just controlling them from anywhere in the web, you can also automate with simple rules.

Question: I had a look at one of my lamps, and it says that it is a B22. It takes standard bayonet bulbs no issue, so I'm guessing that a B27 LED will work OK?

sorry, ignore that brain-fart, standard bayonet is of course B22, not B27.

Hi Berccara,

Yes, they are brighter 9Watts RGB Colour and WarmWhite LED in 1 bulb. They only work with the new RGBW 4 Channel Colour Remote or the new LimitlessLED Wifi Bridge 3.0. The wifi bridge is backwards compatible with White, RGB and RGBW bulbs, but the new RGBW colour remote only works with the new RGBW bulbs.

We have shipped the new RGB+W to most of our distributors last week. They are also available on the LimitlessLED website. Both the standard B22 bayonet style, and the E27 screw cap style for RGB+W are available.

Yes the manufacturer is shipping to us all !
Everything is indeed backwards compatible. But the old RGB bulbs won't be able to link to the 4 zones interface in the APP. Also the old RGB remote won't be compatible with the new bulbs. Good news: there will also be 12W downlights available in RGB+W !
