Hmm, HP is a little sneaky..
HP V1410-16 is 16x 100Mb
HP V1410-16G is 16x 1Gb (which is what I have)

That 1410-16g looks sweet. Seems hard to find for a good price. Most people out of stock.

If you want small and cheap 8-port unmanaged switches, get a couple of these:

Edimax ES-5800G V3 8-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch

These measure only 137 × 76 × 25.5 mm (L x W x H) and they can be powered by USB (a short USB power cable is supplied - also a conventional wall-mounted 5V power supply as an alternative.)

The only problem is that they are so small and lightweight that they need to be taped down.

I have a 5-port version of this that I power from USB - totally inconspicuous, runs cool.
