My boss imported a couple... Still hasn't let us mere workers play on one yet. We're thinking of going on strike tongue-out

Well mine arrived this morning...

Got the wobbles first time I set foot on it. Have just been riding it around home on the carpet + lino, yet to take a tumble :)

Will probably take it outside later or the weekend where there is more room.

So far really enjoying it :)

Gutted I missed the deal for NZ$171 - would have scooped one up at that price. Anyone seen any other good deals?

Did you get that cheap one? I have been emailed that I have a parcel at the PO Box but was not going to bother going today, but if it might be the hoverboard then.....

Not the cheap one no. I ordered mine form glideboards.co . It cost me $709 including the $60 shipping, however I see their prices have now gone up, so was lucky when I got it.

My order for the cheap one has been suspended by aliexpress for the seller having suspicious activities and I will be getting a refund in 5 days unless they can prove shipping. Ah well. Would have ended up in the shed along with the BMX and razer scooter and other stupid things I bought.

I have heard about people not getting there money/product from that site, so didn't even bother trying to buy from them. Honestly it is a lot more fun than you think. I've had mine for just over a week now and its great. I hop on it everyday. You can even use it with daily tasks or my personal favourite is vacuuming. You use the board to move forward and you can get it done faster but more importantly it makes cleaning fun :)

I'll get my money back on that. Just annoying really. I'll probably try again on a slightly less cheap one. I normally avoid the cheapest sellers on aliexpress because they seem to have the most problems. Also for ones that sell electronics along side housewares and fingernails and questionable adult toys. If they sell everything then they know nothing about what they sell.

I was looking on TM earlier and you can get them for $400-$600 now.

Might be worth looking at.

Lots of fun!

My opinion on buying adult toys from the cheapest source, like Aliexpress is the same as getting the cheapest dentist etc, I don't really want cheap sharp things in my mouth, and I don't want cheap god knows what, near my junk!

I am due a vasectomy, and I intend to go and find the most expensive, experienced person in the whole of NZ to do it! :)

Out of interest, when does one become "due" for a vasectomy? Just so I know, in advance. wink

Edit: My first reading of your reply thought your comment was a weird tangent. I interpreted "adult toys" just as toys for adults (gadgets etc. that were maybe too expensive to necessarily let kids play with). Now, I reread the whole thing, it all makes sense!

When you have as many kids as you intend to ever have, are completely certain (and wife feels the same way) and you are closer to 40 than 30.

The running joke during my wifes second pregnancy was whilst she was in one room having our second, I'd be in another room ensuring there would never be a third.

Two places in Auckland point blank refused to do mine at 34, told me to come back much closer to 40. Apparently the hit rate for reversals on people under 37 is 40% or something insane.

Do we need an R18 warning on this thread now?

Why? If you are old enough to interpret those comments as "adult" you are old enough to not be offended by them.
