I'm highly sceptical of such things but my mum swears by hers - I think she paid $40 for two and she seems to think they keep the insects out (didn't have a mouse problem)

My dad and step mum live on a farm and have many scattered around and seem to think they do reduce the mice somewhat (in comparison to the numbers beforehand)

To me they're a bit like the plug in EMF neutralizers that are big in australia

I had a problem with the neighborhood cats peeing on my front door.

Looked into ultrasonic and air can deterrents.... but decided to make my own.

Best deterrent I built was a device that created couple of 1 second audible noise  bursts.... triggered by a PIR sensor.

You can also hear that it works :-) Unlike ultrasonic.

Got a few security camera snaps showing the cats leaving in a hurry.

Things I tried were: an electric fence unit, a fearsome looking cat door stop, painting the door step with a disinfectant... these only worked for a while.

Don't want my own cat or a dog as we do a bit of travelling away from home.

My first ever AM radio network connection was with a 1MHz AM crystal(OA91) radio receiver.
