Where did you get the Google Nest Hello? Did you pay for the subscription? I am already a Ring v1 user and looking to upgrade with one that has better video quality.
Haven’t considered subscription yet, as we don’t expect to move into the house for another 4 weeks. I don’t like their new subscription plan though. Gone up to $80 annually (from $50 I think). Yes, you only need one subscription to cover all devices, but as I only have one device, I’m a bit annoyed that they don’t offer the old plan.

Haven’t started using it yet. The electrician is still figuring out how to install it. Apparently it’s not as straight forward, but he’s confident that he can do it. Sorry, don’t know the answer to your question reg. stepdown transformer. If you mean how it’s powered, the electrician ran a CAT6 cable.
