I can see on Shelly's store a UL and non-UL version of the 1PM - does anyone know if the A/NZ certification applies to only the UL model, or am I safe to get either?

The certificate of compliance is for the Shelly 1PM so you are good to go with that.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Thanks very much for your help, I've just ordered a 4 pack.

Does that mean they might look at certification of some of the other relays?  The 2.5 looks like it controls 2 circuits.  Similar to my zwave dual relays.

Anyone using these with openHAB or just home  assistant?

and what about running them on a iOt network, they look like they use Mdns for discovery.

perhaps this should be a new thread....

The Facebook support page indicated they are working on certification for their other products. No specifics were given.

No requirement to use the Shelly app.

You can just activate MQTT and have everything running locally.

Without  a significant order from au/nz I’m assuming a plug in device will be a fair distance away.

Yes. However there are plenty of plug in devices that do the trick in NZ already if you are running something like Home Assistant. The Kogan power monitoring plugs with esphome are great.

The one thing I have been missing is smart lighting behind switches so the Shellies are going to be awesome.

So I understand that normally the key piece of paper is a Supplier Declaration of Conformity (SDoC), whereas this is a Certificate of Suitability (CoS). And SDoCs seem to often cite CoS.

Can we just give a CoS to a sparky to satisfy them that it's okay to install? Or do we as the importer (if ordering from Shelly directly) need to put together an SDoC that cites the CoS?

Just did some learning and these blow my mind,
Aesthetically, whats a good touch panel switch to pack these behind to get the look of the integrated solutions?

I spoke to an electrician and he is happy to install based on the CoS no need for an SDoC.

Yes. Same here. Electrician is happy with the CoS. From reading the work safe site an SDoC is required if you are selling the device in New Zealand but is based on the CoS anyway.

My Shelly's arrived this morning. Much quicker than expected given shipping delays in the EU. I haven't even purchased the other parts I need before I get the electrician in.

I knew they were small but when I saw one box in the package I thought they'd only sent one. The x2 pack has two in a single box.

Mine turned up yesterday. I am also amazed at how small these things are. They seem bigger in all the videos. I have to wait for the Dimmer to be certified as I got some of those..... [fingers drumming on table]
