All good mine was the same. Just be a bit careful taking the power from the panel you will need to make sure the panel power supply has capacity to power the the panel and interface board. Mine is plugged into a separate socket, not battery backed up but the alarm still works as above. Konnected also sell a battery pack or you can installed another one if you need.

- power cord - its US style - how did you get around that?

- presumably the interface card etc needs to be in close proximity to the Bosch main unit - what's the typical distance?

- are the cards housed in anything - my Bosch is in a wardrobe in the office - don't really want loose cards hanging around

- do you need a backup battery if you have the interface - presumably the battery in the Bosch just will keep going?

I recently purchased a Konnected Pro and I selected AU plug option during the order process (i.e. the same as NZ), so it just plugs into the wall socket.  As mentioned previously, you can probably run it using 12V from the alarm if you wanted to.

The card does not have its own housing, but includes plastic standoffs so you can mount it inside the existing alarm panel box

I don't think that they'll ship the lithium batteries to NZ.  I ended up purchasing a UPS so that I could plug in the Konnected panel, ONT, modem and Raspberry Pi (running Home Assistant to interface to the Konnected), so that the alarm and notifications/control to my phone will keep operating during a power outage.

It's also worth mentioning that I ran into the Cold Boot / Reboot Inconsistency issue with the Konnected Pro.  The UPS helps with this since a cold boot doesn't occur very often, but it is a pretty significant bug for an alarm system in my opinion.

@compound:

I use a few AAP alarm systems from Arrowhead alarm products. Have had cellular modules fitted to buildings with no telephone or fiber which text you all activity. Most are connected to the internet and can do just about anything from the app. Have 3 alarms all running through the app on my phone and if an alarm goes off it pushes a noisy alert through. Designed and manufactured in NZ, normally available through electrical wholesalers.

is that with the paid AAP app?

I've been using AAP for several years, quite underwhelmed by it, the 3G module just locks up and got to power cycle it get it to work, I've used the IP module, this is stable, but the only notifications from either module have been the alarm going off, it would be nice to get push notifications of the alarm been disabled.

I would like to support AAP been kiwi made etc, but it's like it's half done and then they stopped.

There may be better around but I am pretty happy with it. It doesn't tell you when the alarm is disarmed by the IP module-app communication but did tell me when the battery was getting low and when the power was cut. The alarm siren push notification is short but noisy, just cant have do not disturb on and expect a audible alarm as I found out. I can arm, disarm, bypass sensor, check sensor movement, see alarm status and recent history from the app. The app does freeze up every once in a while but that may be the internet connection and switching out and then in to that alarm site does reset it. I have 3 alarm sites all running from the one app. Sorry I dont know about family library, everyone in the family that needed it just bought it for their own library.

The 3G module I fitted to a remote warehouse was set up for notifications and we got an immediate txt message with who disarmed the alarm and what time, then who rearmed it. It was handy to check who to blame if the alarm was not put back on after they left the building. Also sent a txt for each sensor tripping when the alarm goes off so you can see if there is movement through multiple sensors or just a random single trip. This did require going into the programming (easy) and creating a specific txt message for each operation through a laptop.

I know AAP are continuously working on their systems as the alarms have software updates and V2 system came out recently and now 4G modules available. The app doesn't seem to be visually different from when originally purchased but problems I did occasionally see earlier I dont notice now. The system does what I need it to do, I have access to the programming and when I really get stuck I have a NZ based company to get an answer from.

I have an AAP alarm with the ip module, I get notifications when the panel is armed and disarmed in addition to when it goes off etc

The app works with family sharing, so I only bought it once and my wife installed it without having to

My Ajax System is pretty awesome, all of the sensors are wireless and the main hub is linked via ethernet to my router so it can be monitored and controlled by the Ajax phone app that connects to your main hub via the cloud.

Best of all no ongoing pay subscriptions for the cloud.

App is easy to use and can configure your setup, even comes with remotes. I ended up getting 3 sensors + outdoor siren + indoor siren and a keypad (keypad is never needed).

Best of all, if you move house you can take the equipment with you.

This is the way

AAP works well sharing with family sharing and app works well, setups more advanced to get all kp buttons working but works really good as a alarm, with the ip modules and 3g ones get the updated firmware to get all notifications and arm/disarm etc, much better kps than Bosch too
