Aaaand now half my ads are for ridiculously high spec torches and head lights. Just saw one that said it was 90,000 lumens for $35 🤣

Highest output for shortest time - the win goes to the old-school photographic flash bulb (1930-1970 era) where a standard 25mm 'press' bulb would give a million lumens for 30 ms...

 

Apparently the Nitecore 5600 lumen will run a couple of minutes (at 20C ambient) before getting hot enough to reduce output.
Better in cold climates !
I guess you could water-cool it or wrap it in an ice pack.

All good stuff thanks.
BTW, the original Tread Me message boards were quite useful for technical and
TM-specific advice, and there were some very generous contributors on there.

After TM closed the original boards (presumably due to all the pathetic garbage from
the usual minority) haven't seen any TM-specific forums except for tmmb.co.nz

Any pointers pls?
