Thanks for the feedback.

I much prefer chargers with separate power cables, rather than them plugging directly into the wall, and most GAN chargers from Anker and UGreen are the latter.

Looks like the Satechi at PB Tech ($148) is about the best value option at the moment for a grunty charger from a reliable brand.

The only downside to that one is it's got only USB-C: while most of our day-to-day charging is using USB-C, we still have a few devices that have micro-USB or Lightning, so will need to pick up either new cables or adapters.

This is the one I was referencing, it appears to come with a figure 8 cable so easy and cheap to swap out.

That does look excellent, though its price is way over my budget! Close to $400, which makes the Satechi I linked to above seem a relative bargain. I'm happy with a max of 165 watts...

While the OP specifically wanted around 120 W, for those reading this who don't need that much power I can say that I have just travelled around the world for 6 weeks with one of these, and it happily charged my MacBook Air, iPhone and AirPods all at the same time.

Just wish some of the UGreen chargers would include AU adapters. They generally support US/UK/EU but not AU.

Population of North America: ~380 million
Population of Europe: ~740 million
Population of UK: ~67 million (plus a whole lot of random countries)

Population of AU/NZ: 30 million.

It’s easy to see why it is the way it is.

We rate this Belkin device: https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/TAABEL5336624/Belkin-BoostCharge-Pro-4-Port-GaN-USB-C-Charger-10 has two USB c alongside 2 USB-A, can still do 96W out of a USB C with change left over. Price point seems fair to me.

I do like it, I just wish it had more of a "wall wart" type arrangement, because after packing up the cable etc, it basically is no smaller than me just taking two chargers with me.

Interesting, I prefer the opposite. Typically take a very short cable if wanting as compact as possible, or can take a decent length one to give options for power points far away etc.

Trying to use a "wall wart" style when travelling can be a pain, unless it is super compact like the 65W one mentioned earlier in the thread.

There are GaN chargers with options for both wall wart type or desktop type with extension cable to the wall outlet such as this one I posted earlier in the thread.

You choose the plug type in the listing and I also bought an extra attachment to turn it into a desktop charger for when I go into the office.

Yes it is not a reputable brand but one from Aliexpress but so far have had no issues with it, they do appear to achieve the claimed wattage.
