GSM Arena lists 133 phones as being 2025 models with FM radio: https://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?nYearMin=2025&chkFMradio=selected

Obviously there's some double-checking to be done in terms of making sure the NZ firmware supports it and any other features/specifications/form factors you're looking for, but it seems like phones with FM are still available.

quickymart:

If I could find an updated version of one of these that would be awesome!

Even better get yourself one of these:

https://www.sangean.com/en/products

Sangean are basically the best small radios around and have a solid reputation.

You will probably have to import though.

Civil Defence has always recommended a house have an am/fm radio in the emergency box  in case of natural or other disaster so broadcasts can still be received even if other network infrastructure is taken out.

I get all of my radio and TV through IP streaming, but I keep a small cheap AM/FM radio in my backpack along with other supplies for civil emergencies. It's a Philips model and I think I got it from Briscoes, but Jaycar probably also still sell them.

Some good suggestions in here, thanks - still on search for something small though 🙂 I'll keep you posted.

Sangean Pocket Radio With Speaker, Earphones, AM,FM

https://www.trademe.co.nz/5532068998

Looks like there are many cheap ones with FM only. AM/FM digital seems pricey.

Just check with whatever you end up buying that it provides stereo if that's what you expect.  Some of the cheaper radios don't, even when using headphones

This one's pretty good - not miniature size, but has AM and pretty cheap (less than AUD$30): https://www.amazon.com.au/V-112-Portable-Digital-Earphone-Rechargeable/dp/B019BYBR48?th=1

Thanks for the tip although I dunno how they worked out the pricing - if I follow your link it says:

Awesome price, not even $2! Yet if I add it to a cart and proceed to purchase...

How did they work out that (1000%+) higher price? Tariffs? 😀

In any case it's still pretty cheap, so I'll probably order one and see how it goes 🙂

Looks like they're saying a sale starts in 12 hours that brings it down to that price. Can guarantee there'll be more hoops to jump through and you'll still need to pay GST and maybe shipping.

Welcome deal is only valid for 1 item on your first order when joining. Its really annoying seeing those prices get into google etc.
