I do find myself looking out the window as it goes back and forwards making perfect stripes. I haven't found any variation in the RTK GPS accuracy based on where on the property it is - it's always sitting at 10mm. The exception is when it's on its charging base right under the RTK antenna where it bumps to 20mm.

As for getting along the edges, the Lymow has two settings, Precise and Offset. For the first few runs I had been keeping it on Offset but today I've changed it over to Precise for most of the zones. In Precise mode, it's getting right up against the edge, taking the exact line that it was mapped on and running against the fence line - probably a little closer than what the guy with his ride-on was getting. I will probably keep it on Offset mode for the zone with the growing hedge and use a trimmer for the offset line, just to avoid mowing down any young plants.

I am in the camp of those who enjoy mowing. Not sure why I do - I guess it is the satisfaction of seeing rough grass turned into lawn with stripes. However I am entirely comfortable with being perhaps a bit of a weirdo in this regard and wouldn't blame anyone for hating mowing.

I too love seeing rough grass turned into neat stripes but I think 2000m2 would become a time drag. I could happily drink a coffee and watch the robot do the striping in the hot sun.

This gadget sounds pretty well thought out.

I was one of the early backers and have had my Lymow since October 2025. Like the OP mentioned the charging issues are my main headache/annoyance. I'm sure I'll come up with some DIY retrofit fix at some point :-)
But when I compare it to the older Worx robot mower I had with it's little blades this thing is a beast and it handles even the roughest terrain. The Work mower would get caught up on all sorts of things.
Here is a photo showing the blades while I was loosening the tracks.

I saw in their latest announcement that they are working on an official upgrade kit to move the charging contacts to the top of the mower deck..they say they'll have more details in March.

I have contemplated something like that but now that there might be an official version I might wait for that, for warranty reasons.

You got a good deal on the Lymow. The Lymow Plus is now $5700 AUD! Looks like the Mammotion Luba 3 pricing is out too - $7000 for the 5000m2 version.

The industry is out of control with pricing at the moment.

Yeah, the AUD pricing seems to have quite a discrepancy from the US pricing. In the US, the base Plus is the same price as the older One, but in Aus it's an extra $1k for the Plus.

Having said that, it's the sort of robot mower you get to replace a ride on mower, which it's still rather competitive against.

At this point I think it would be cheaper to literally build my own. I've been looking for an excuse to buy an RTK GPS system :-)

Cheers - N

It looks like Robomate may have become the local dealer for NZ now. The One Plus hasn't been available to purchase on the official Lymow site but today it has shown up for preorder on their site. It's currently at a price that's a few hundred cheaper than it is for Australian's via the official site. The other benefit is that it now has full CGA protection since it's being sold by an NZ company now.

Very interesting they are available locally now. the 2000 charge cycles, but needing to charge 3 times per day to hit the advertised coverage is a bit concerning as the battery is done after 18-20 months? and then you have to buy a replacement - anyone seen part costs for new battery pack?

A new pack is around $950. The pack is very easily accessed as it's designed with the ability to have a second for being able to swap out a flat one with a charged one rather than having to wait for it to recharge if you prefer that option instead.

They are LFP packs tho, so it's unlikely to just outright die at that 2000 cycle, just hold less of a charge. Each charge cycle isn't a full discharge either (it recharges at 15% and resumes at 75%), so that will push out that "expiry" date

Yikes NZ$7,299 after the pre-order finishes on the Robomate site. Looks like my original Lymow One will at least have to live out it's 3 year warranty period!

Holy hell those prices are nuts. I will wait till something direct out of china comes along that competes with it.

Keep in mind that this mower is designed for properties that would otherwise require a ride on mower. When you compare it to the price of a ride on, it's actually cheaper, especially when you compare it to an electric ride on. It's a bit over kill for a lawn that could easily be done with a push mower.

Lymow is a Chinese company 😉
