I have many of the par38 grid connects from bunnings, and some older kogan ones that are working fine. In the fittings that take normal lamps, I have some cheap filament ones off aliexpress that only do the cool white to warm white - no RGB - they were about $8 from the bundle deals when I got them (moes brand) - I find the filament ones last a lot longer than others for keeping brightness. All tuya based things so automate reasonably well in the tuya app.

What about:

Arlec 20W Grid Connect Smart Security Light With Movement Activated Sensor - Bunnings New Zealand

Should integrate with HA, certainly will with Alexa etc.

Not sure how well they light up, but I've used a little bit of Grid Connect stuff (ceiling fans are the latest) and they work well enough.

My own Arlec Grid connect stuff is terrible in Home Assistant. The the power supply circuitry in smart plugs and lights dies after 1.5 years.

This is what I have seen about the Arlec flood light. (Btw; Simon is Auckland. Occasionally there is a Home Assistant group meetup somewhere.

I have a Simix PIR flood light. I put a Shelly 1 inside.

The Shelley's input is connected to the PIR sensor's switched wire. Within the Shelley I link input to follow output.

But through Home Assistant I can control the lights, see the PIR motion status and un-link the PIR to Lights follow through.

Q re smart lights that screw into regular light bulb sockets - doesn't that mean that you can't operate them with the original wall switch? That would be a killer for me as a certain non-techno person in the household would switch them off at the wall and then they're offline?
