Nathan, you're looking at the wrong CPU and the wrong OS. Windows 10 support not windows 8. *Pi 2* has Broadcom BCM2836 quad core Cortex A7 @ 900 MHz.

So am I correct in the assumption that standard 'windows applications' will not run on this new Pi?

Toll tracking shows my element 14 order is out for delivery. FIngers crossed they arrive before I have to go out as they seem to have a hard time understanding instructions about where to leave things.

I got mine from NiceGear (I know that Element14 is cheaper, but I'd rather support NiceGear) so hoping it arrives soon.

Never had a Pi so no idea what I'm doing, should be fun.

RS components would seem to be abit slower at shipping them waiting for mine to arrive.

People found one issue with raspberry pi 2.
It hangs on... xenon flash from camera!
Dude tried to make a photo his new raspberry pi 2 using his camera with flash and it hang. People think that it is power controller bug which is sensible to electro magnetic waves.

It doesn't sound like EMF.

It seems to be a photo-electric effect from the very bright light shining through the surface of the chip.

If you have the PI in plastic case, then it shouldn't be an issue.
