NZtechfreak:gehenna: i don't really want to wait until July so I'm sticking with the original one. Probably be on an Apple Watch by July anyway :)
After having a Moto 360, which I did like on many levels, I am so done with a watch that needs daily charging. I think I'll be happy with a Pebble Time.
Personally I wasn't interested in wearables until the Apple watch hype (long time iOS user). I was curious about but never really looked into the Pebble as it was $149 for what appeared to be a very tired and limited screen.
My ears perked up but I was still waiting to be convinced. The Apple watch video was polished as we have come to expect but it didn't have all the details required.
Then weeks later Tim Cook made the widely reported comments saying "you'll be using the watch so much you'll want to charge it every day".
That's when I looked at Pebble and I got one off trade me. Fantastic bloody watch and love the battery life. The watch is hugely aware of its weaknesses and limitations and powers on ahead to be the leading smart watch in the market.
Within days I had decided I would get a Steel during the Black Friday $149 sale that I was anticipating. Couldn't be happier.
