PC World (US online) - The new USB4 spec promises a lot: Thunderbolt 3 support, 40Gbps bandwidth, and less confusion

I could probably use a Sharpie and write "USB4" above my TB3 port and not be far off given the history of "optional" features in previous USB specs.

Personally, the day they kill all of the connectors apart from Type-C can't come soon enough.

Don't care what the call it!

The absolute lunacy of the Type-A connector, in particular. It always takes at least three goes to plug the damn thing in!

I'll try and remember that next time I'm trying to plug something into the back of a desktop PC.

@evilengineer Haha, From experience no matter what you do, even knowingly that the blanked off part of the USB plug will need to be facing down and that the USB's are always the same orientation on the PC, I still get it wrong.
You need visual on both ports before if possible.
