Good questions. Interesting, unlike the Huawei Freebuds Studio I have here, there's no swipe action for volume. But you can say "Alexa, volume up/down" or "Alexa set volume [1 - 10]" and it works.
The cup size feels a bit pretty similar to my old Bose QC25 and are very light.

The issue I always had with button-based controls, is that unless you know the headphone intimately, you fumble around pressing the wrong buttons all the time. I am probably less worried about volume up and down, but forward and back track would be nice and being able to hold your hand over a cup to temporarily allow sound...

Oohh, might look at these as my new ANC headphones since I got rid of both XM3 and NC700.
@freitasm when you get a chance, are you able to test these for calls, specifically MS Teams with Windows laptop and see what the voice and connection quality are like?
Also keen to hear about Teams and general voice quality.

Good news. Managed to reserve three Technics devices - A800, AZ60 and AZ40 to giveaway. I will post a giveaway discussion later tonight.

Used it during a hour-long Teams meeting. Didn't miss a bit, good noise isolation and microphone worked well.

does sidetone work? can't seem to get that on mine...
despite that, i did use it literally all day yesterday 8:30 am to 5:50 pm on teams (in constant use) and battery is still at 75% today. i've only charged it once on the weekend.

Yeah, that's what I have (and I love them), but there are a couple of things about them I don't like and I am wondering if the Technics is an option to be the best of both worlds.

How often does everyone use their ANC? Personally I find there is an increased pressure on my ears with it on that is slightly uncomfortable so I have it off 99% of the time, mowing the lawns or flying are the exceptions.
I currently have 3 ANC headphones: Bose QC35, Bose QC35 ii, and Sony WH1000XM4 aka XM4 and have had others from Sennheiser, Beats, JBL, & Skullcandy. If ANC is what you’re after the you cant go wrong with Bose and the higher end Sonys, some Sennheisers are also be worth a look.

I use it all the time with headphones (over ear) devices. With earbuds there are a couple that really put some pressure to the point that I can hear myself breathing and it gets annoying. So it depends on the device.
