I'm currently using the Eufy ecosystem.  Got a 5 in 1 security package with the homebase 2 and 2 x 2c Pro 2K cameras mounted internally.  The homebase 2 has 16GB local recording but can't upload once a clip has saved unless you pay for the online package which currently reduces the quality to 1080p. The system can do RTSP to a NAS or other software for constant streaming in addition to the alerts being uploaded.

So far has worked well, cameras are good and the actual security stuff including the keypad works well.  Will link with the wifi touch lock and doorbell cameras but not all the cameras will work with the homebase 2, I bought two internal pan and tilt expecting htem to link but they're seperate and need arming seperately to the main system but recordings are stored as part of the online package or via local SD Card.

Its quite immature software wise and needs work but it appears to be a relatively new setup.  Amazon.com.au is much cheaper than local purhcase for these... Arlo is apparently releasing a security alarm package sometime soon so that may be worth watching, especially if it is more robust as Arlo has been around longer than Eufy.

So far I'm happy, but time will tell whether Eufy continue to add products and make things compatible as they said they would but haven't.

Some changes in safety in our suburb have prompted me to beef up our external security.  I'm getting Arlo  cameras.  This is based on friends who have them attheir bach.  With this system you can define trigger zones within the camera's field of view and if those are breached you get an alert message. You can then connect to the camera, turn a light on if required and send audio tot he camera.  For example you can verbally challenge a person who enters your property.

The Android app has a download function, the clip then shows up in a standard media gallery type app  (with common file extension/codec) and you can copy it manually to more resilient long-term storage of your choice.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

I have some Arlo Pro 2 cameras and you can only define trigger zones if you plug them into a power source. If they are running from the battery then the self defined trigger zone option is not available (to save power it uses the PIR sensor over the entire field of view to trigger and then turns on the camera image sensor to record and send an alert).

I have Arlo Ultra 2 cameras running off battery, and they certainly support multiple user defined zones
