The problem with Kindle Fire is its use of Amazon hosted services - music, videos, movies. You probably can only access those in the US or through a proxy/VPN service.

cbrpilot: So you are saying that all Amazon services, with the exception of purchasing ebooks (ok, more limited library, but still not bad) are US only? At least iTunes is global ...
CJPhoto: I am interested in the new kindle touch. It only ships to the US so the plan is to get the 'special offers' wifi version sent to a friend in the US who can forward it on to me. Getting the special offers version makes it cheaper than the non touch version.
Just want to confirm that there wont be issues with using it in NZ.
