As it would happen, I just 'repurposed' my 4 camera Cleverloop system this afternoon.  I tried Ubuntu and Shinobi, but it got a bit too hard for me as a Linux Noob.  Today I installed iSpy on my Windows 10 PC, and now have all cameras working without the Cleverloop base station, storing the video locally on my PC.  First I had to connect each camera by cable to the router, log in using a web browser and enter the wifi details.  Then I could connect to them using the wizard in iSpy, it was pretty easy.  So far so good, the free version is limited to local storage on one machine, but it works quite well. There is a reasonably priced subscription version with extra bells and whistles, including cloud uploads and alerts etc. I haven't looked into it yet.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately I am a Mac user but it might be worthwhile have a dedicated windows pc.. the Ispy  site is very vague about pc system requirements for a 3 camera 720p setup but I will definitely follow up. Thanks

Hi,

Had a 3 camera cleverloop system, shame they went bust but heyho.

I've re-purposed 2 so far using Synology Surveillance centre using basic ONVIF profile, so I have a few questions I am looking at...

1 - is there a better camera profile for the cleverloop cameras, the inside one has audio and the exterior ones I think should run at higher resolution than default?

2 - Synology Surveillance centre is much more feature rich, which is great but its large so any tips would help!

3 - I have webspace I'd like to use for of site storage of alerted clips, i cant see any way yet of doing that?

Also interested in this as I have 3 cameras and a Synology NAS unit.
Additional question:  What's the process/cost to set up more than 2 cameras?  On my initial play to test they could connect at all, I hit the 2 camera limit and couldn't figure out how to add more?

You have to buy additional device licences, I am getting 1 from pbtech right now for $95

OK looks like I can synch my synology drive/storage (surveillance)  to a cloud backup.

Huh.  Interesting.  Would not have even thought to look at somewhere like PBTech.
The product description is a little vague but I'm assuming that "1 License" and "4 License" refers to how many cameras you can add.

Guess it's time to dive into this with more than a passing glance and see how effectively it can replace the Cleverloop app.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Some cameras can use up more than 1 licence afik, the steerable ones etc

Looks like I can sync the surveillance partition with a cloud service (googledrive/onedrive etc), was hoping to use my own webspace but we'll see..

I've only got the standard CL indoor and outdoor cameras which appear to only use one license each.

I'm already running a cloud back up from the NAS anyway, so I'll most likely include that on it depending on data volumes.
