Yes, I was looking at LIFX, but so pricey!
The RGB+temperature whites are the ones that most interest me as they have an actual dimmer on the remote to set an absolute value. The others only have the up/down control which means tracking state and hopeing that the number of commands you send is what the lamp receives.
Ive toasted my wireless module from the old gateway with inadvertantly putting it on a 5v pin on the raspberry pi it seems, so am waiting on a lot of wireless boards to arrive from aliexpress to continue playing. I dont really want to gut one of the RGB controllers to use its module since they are more valuable to me as a RGB module, and I found these on Aliexpress.
I ordered 10 of them because $1 why not.
Anyone interested in 7 of the White bulbs and a couple of bridges (v2 I think)? Moving to Hue...

Hey Daniel,
Could be interested, will PM.
Cheers
I've installed a couple of bulbs and am really happy with their performance. Will definitely be replacing the rest of the house with these bulbs. Just wonder what solutions people have for light switches? Bedrooms are second nature for everyone to turn the lights on/off via the switch, so what can I get that will send a command to the bridge/hub rather than a physical power on/off state?
So amazon have this native lighting control API thingie that I have basically just read the title of and no more.

Anyone on here had a play with this and got it talking back to either a pi running openhab or something, or else the limitless cloud servers?

Ones I have looked at in the past have all used something local and incoming connections That is not possible at one of the places I would want to deploy it at as CG NAT breaks that.
The cloud thing on the gateways would be mint if it was going straight from the amazon echo servers. Is there anything new on that front in the last 6 months or so?
Evening all,
Wondered if anyone has heard any news about the Limitless LED v6 Bridge?
On the website it says "LimitlessLED Wifi Bridge v6 required for PC/Phone control which will be released in a few months time".
Unfortunately my emails werent answered when asking when it would be available (perhaps something blocking my emails?) so I was hoping someone here would be able to provide some insight!
Apart from the release date, I was wondering if it also controls the older RGBW bulbs, as I have both the RGBWW/CW and RGBW bulbs in my house. Currently I am using a V5 Bridge to control my RGBW's, and a remote to control my RGBWW/CW so am trying to find out if I will need to connect two bridges to make all my lights work with my phone, or if I can get rid of my V5 and just use the V6.
Any help anyone can offer is much appreciated!
Sincere regards,
Ryan Carmichael

I have contacted them a few times, in June they said there doesn't seem to be much demand for the v6 yet, but they are working on it. Their site has said it will be released in a few months time since last December I think.
Would really like to get these set up with Tasker so I can have them come on with my alarm clock.
