About 1m. It's just a garden variety micro USB cable to you can replace with your own of up to whatever length is workable.

If you have selected older Fire TV Sticks including the 4K model you should find that the TVNZ official APK now installs. I reached out to their team and they've updated the profile to include a number of additional models.

  • Fire TV Stick 4K
  • Fire TV Stick Lite
  • Fire TV Cube 2nd Gen
  • Fire TV Stick 2nd Gen

Does anyone know how to contact AMC+ to see if they can get an official APK for the new Firestick in New Zealand. I asked Amazon support but all they could say was "AMC+ is not available in your country"

We put a micro USB to USB A and ethernet cable on ours and it works a treat cutting out the wifi. I think it was worth picking one up off Ali express if you're like me and just prefer to hardwire the network on these things.

Watch long cables as you can have some issues, and I also don't recommend running it off you're TVs power supply as the power output can be a bit variable.

I also use a USB OTG Adapter so I can plug in a generic USB device, or use a USB Key when I'm on the road

gzt: FireTV 4K Max has micro-usb for power supply. That could be a pain. Can anyone tell me the length of the power cable that comes with 4K Max?

About 145cm.
Edit: could be 150cm - that's about 5 feet. It is american after all....

Any wifi router can be used. New standards almost always provide backwards compatibility. The market for this device would be very small otherwise.

Is TVNZ+ going to come to the Max? I’m setting mine up now and it promotes TNVZ content to me but says the app is ‘unavailable’. Sad. Plus there’s no Neon app either, so I may have jumped the gun here.

The Amazon account I used is the Aussie one attached to my NZ address.

Yup. Says I can't purchase it due to geographical location. How do I fix it? It is my Australian account, not my American one.

If you log in to into amazon.com.au and click "Account and lists" at the top right, and click the dropdown link for "Manage your content and devices"

Click "Preferences" on the horizontal menu and then "Country/Region settings".

Is your country showing as NZ? If not can you change it and save.

Does it let you at the TVNZ app now?
