Thanks Rich. Images updated. I copied the template from RGBW GU10/MR16, all sorted now.
Cheers,Hamish.
Ordered some MR16 in both GU10 mains and G5.3 12v from Hamish yesterday. Shipped today sometime so should be here tomorrow if fastway dont stuff up. Will see how they fit in the lamps that the last GU10 lamps stuck out of and looked stupid
Also while browsing aliexpress for stuff came across this :
wall remote thingie - bit pricey tho for what it is.
Its a EU style plate unfortunately, but it means its looking close to having something that is a drop in wall controller replacement for a standard dumb lightswitch for these. If only there was a wall plate converter similar to how there is to put a normal single wide switch in the old double wide wall boxes that old houses have.
Read somewhere that these type of bulbs can be hacked and it can make them to flick on and off, are they reliable?
They have a pretty basic 2.4Ghz protocol so yes someone could sniff the remote and then use that to turn them off and on. That doesnt really worry me too much at this stage, if it becomes a problem with some prick being silly and screwing with them I will then see what else is available instead.
The one you have read about is the hues which are a much more complicated lamp and they did something to make it pass the infection onto other lamps in range and stuff.

But still there exist a possibility of them going haywire all of a sudden. This can depict a perfect scene of a zombie apocalypse. Is there any possibility that the RCs used in quad copters can interfere with them in any way?
anyone running these ok with a mikrotik?
I seem to be getting intermittent connection loss when trying to control the lights with my phone, unsure if its a firewall issue or something else
All internal traffic at this stage
older bridges that still used port 8899? (V4/V5 I believe)
Saw these while browsing aliexpress when bored. more remotes that go into a wall box. things on aliexpress which again are UK/euro wall box so not a hell of a lot of use here, but since many of the other wifi switches get made in a US sized wall box there might be some hope that they do with these too.
Roughly how can I get Echo to interact with the Wifi bridge to control my lights? I'm looking at a general overview, and not looking for github code. Thanks.
50 pages so sorry if this has already been answered but can these be controlled via "ok google" would be great to be able to control these via my voice on my smart watch.

I use Home Assistant on a spare Raspberry Pi to join the Limitless LED wifi bridge with my other smart devices, so can tell either my Google Homes or Alexa to turn on/off/down the appropriate lights. So yes - I can "OK Google, set bedroom lights to 10%" with these, but it's not exactly plug and play :)
I'm also having a problem. Seems the setup has changed for the ha-bridge from what instructions there are on the internet.
The fields talk about http stuff when it's a UDP device.
Anyone got a sample config for a single bulb? And how do you configure a second bulb?
My bridge is sitting at 192.168.1.124 ( I setup a static ip address for it ).
Thanks,

Oh well, I have it sort of working where I put my bridge at 192.168.1.124 using the admin interface at that address, and user/pass being admin/admin
Name: Bedroom light
No state: ticked
On Items:
Dim Items:
Off Items:
and using the test buttons, both on and off work, but the DIM doesn't do anything except bring up a slider which doesn't alter the intensity.
